The Santiago Family!

Meet Robbie, Alison, and Lucas Santiago
From the very first time Lucas came into my studio at just 3 months old, I knew this family would hold a special place in my heart, and in front of my lens. It’s been such a joy watching him grow, milestone by milestone, into the sweet and spunky two-year-old he is today.
Over the past two years, we’ve captured everything from cozy studio moments to playful outdoor adventures. Lucas has been in for multiple sessions, including his unforgettable 1-year cake smash, and our most recent milestone celebrating his big two. One of my favorite memories? His love affair with the artificial tree in my studio — I used to bring it out just to get those big, joyful smiles, because he was obsessed with it! It became our little secret weapon.
At 18 months, we ventured out to a nearby creek, and it was such a beautiful change of pace. He’s gone from curious and shy to confidently giving me grins and giggles. That warmth from the entire Santiago family makes every session feel like reconnecting with old friends.
It’s families like theirs that remind me why I do what I do. I’m so honored to call them my clients of the month, and even more honored to have captured so many chapters of their story!
Take a look into our memories together below

A Story That Started with Church and Family
Robbie and Alison first crossed paths through their church and family circles. At the time, maybe neither of them expected that those connections would turn into something so meaningful — but here they are, years later, doing life side by side with faith at the center.
Now, they work as a team not only at home but in ministry, leading their church's youth program and pouring into the next generation.

A Day in Their World
By day, Robbie brings history to life for middle and high school students, and Alison is a 3D visualization specialist (yes, it sounds just as cool as it is). In between work and ministry, they're chasing around their little guy Lucas, checking off to-dos, and still finding moments to laugh through the chaos.

Lucas: The Star of the Show
Lucas is, in Alison’s words, their whole world. He’s got a big heart, loves tractors, gives the best hugs, and is already a great helper around the house. Watching him grow and hit new milestones has been the highlight of their lives so far.

Holiday Favorites and Family Moments
One of the Santiago family's favorite traditions? Visiting the Christmas Traditions festival in St. Charles, catching a glimpse of Santa, and grabbing (more than) a few of Grandma’s Cookies to bring home. They’re all about creating sweet memories, literally and figuratively.

Food, Fun, and Favorite Places
When it comes to food, Mexican cuisine is a top favorite, especially if there's cheese dip involved (Lucas approves). You’ll often find them at Carisillos in Collinsville or enjoying a meal at Texas Roadhouse.
They also love to travel. Robbie’s got his eye on Europe, while Alison leans toward Disney World magic. They’re united in loving quality time no matter the destination.

Their Hobbies and What Drives Them
Robbie is a disc golf fan and a history lover through and through. Alison is a runner (with seven half-marathons under her belt!) and a dedicated crafter. She’s currently training for her first full marathon, which she plans to complete in April at the GO! St. Louis Marathon.
Robbie has a goal of developing more impactful teacher resources that support student success — a true passion project with real purpose.
Here’s a fun fact: when Robbie and Alison were dating, Robbie was convinced Alison was 5'7". He even told his teacher coworkers — only to later find out she’s actually 5'4". A small detail, but one they still laugh about today!
Looking Ahead
The Santiago family is focused on continuing to make memories, growing together, and finding joy in both the everyday and the big moments. Whether it's ministry, milestones, or marathon goals, they're embracing life with open hearts and a whole lot of love.
